Description

The Work of this project provides for the rehabilitation of the exterior envelope at three rail stations, including but not limited to joint sealants, curtain wall replacement, cleaning of wall structures, crack repair and painting. University Station: 1. Scope of Work Is to Include, but Not Necessarily Limited to: A. Replace Existing Curtain Wall Infills at Concourse Level. B. Apply Restoration Extruded Silicone Overlay System to Skylight Mullions at Entire Sloped Glazing. B.O.D. Tremco Spectrem® Restoration Overlay. C. Repair Skylight Pyramidal Panels (2) on Upper Station Building. D. Replace Base of Wall Sealant Joints Surrounding Building Structure at Upper Station Entrance. E. Remove, Salvage and Reset Threshold (Qty: 1) After Appropriate Repairs Are Made at Upper Station Entrance. F. Replace All Structural Sealant Joints Between Glazed Panels at Upper Entrance Structure. G. Replace All Sealant Joints at Granite Curbs (Upper Building). H. Steel on Exterior of Concourse and Upper Building to Be Repainted. I. Clean Above Grade Concrete at Location of Railing. J. Replace Sealant at Guard Rail Post Sleeves. K. Replace Gutter Guards at Concourse Level. L. Repair Using Epoxy Injection Area of Cracks in Concrete. M. Provide Weatherproof Cover for Handhole. Utica Station: 1. Scope of Work Is to Include, but Not Necessarily Limited to: A. Replace Limestone Panel Sealant Joints. Replace Weeps to Match Existing. B. Replace Concrete Panel Sealant Joints. C. Replace All Penetrations and Existing Openings (Doors, Curtain Wall, Louvers, Pipes, Conduits, Etc.) Sealant Joints on Exterior. D. Replace Concrete Sill Sealant Joints Beneath All Curtain Wall Systems, Including Window Units. E. Replace All Base of Wall Limestone and Concrete Panel Sealant Joints Surrounding Building Structure F. Replace Sealant at Concrete Control Joint in Architectural Concrete Wall. G. All Exterior Limestone Panels to Be Cleaned, Removing Staining and Previous Sealer. Application of Sealer. H. All Exterior Concrete Panels and Soffits to Be Cleaned. Application of Sealer. Minor Areas of Epoxy Crack Injection. I. All Curtain Wall Frames and Glass to Be Cleaned for All Exterior and Interior Surfaces Completed at Project End. J. Replace Exterior Window Glazing Sealant at All Curtain Wall Systems, Including Window Units. K. Replace Damaged Limestone Panels in-kind. L. Removal and Reinstallation of Exterior Signage. Humboldt Station: 1. Scope of Work Is to Include, but Not Necessarily Limited to: A. Replace Architectural Concrete Panel Sealant Joints. Replace Weeps to Match Existing. B. Replace Architectural Concrete Column Sealant Joints. Replace Weeps to Match Existing. C. Replace Architectural Concrete Panel Base of Wall Sealant Joints Surrounding Building Structure. D. Replace Curtain Wall System Perimeter Sealant Joints and Butt Joint Sealant Joints. Replace Weeps to Match Existing. E. Replace Sealant Joints at Concrete Sills Beneath All Curtain Wall Systems. F. Temporarily Remove and Reset Concrete Sills Beneath Curtain Wall Systems Where Indicated. G. Patch Deteriorated Portion of Concrete at Foundation and Top of Architectural Concrete Panels Where Indicated. H. Clean Concrete Panels and Soffits. Typical for All Exterior Facade Including Inside and Outside Corners, Vertical and Horizontal Surfaces, and Any Other Exposed Exterior Surfaces. I. Clean Curtain Wall Frame and Glass. Typical for All Exterior and Interior Surfaces Including Inside and Outside Corners, Vertical and Horizontal Surfaces, and Any Other Exposed Surfaces. It Is Preferable This Scope Be Completed at Project End. J. Install Metal Coping at Roof Perimeter of East and West Stations.
