Description | The project is described on the signed and sealed construction plans titled as "Webster and Center Hill Utility Interconnect", January 2023. This project includes the installation of water main along C 48 between the Center of Center Hill and the City of Webster. Last Day for Questions February 13, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Questions will not be answered over the phone to BOCC. Questions regarding the ITB process must be in writing and faxed to (352) 689-4401 attention Mrs. Emilly Morrison, or via email to: purchasing@sumtercountyfl.gov. All Requests for Information (RFI's) regarding the project must be faxed to BOCC, Attention Mrs. Emilly Morrison at (352) 689-4401 or emailed to purchasing@sumtercountyfl.gov. 5% Bid Bond Required Note: All Prospective Bidders/respondents Are Hereby Cautioned Not to Contact Any Member of the Sumter County Board of County Commissioners Staff or Officials Other Than the Specified Contact Person. The Sumter County Board of County Commissioners (COUNTY) reserves the right to accept any bid whether it be the lowest bid or not, or to reject all bids and call for new bids. LIQUID DAMAGES The Contractor and Owner recognize that time is of the essence of this Agreement and that the Owner will suffer financial loss if the Work is not completed within the times specified in the project time section. The parties also recognize the delays, expenses, and difficulties involved in proving in a legal or arbitration proceeding the actual loss suffered by the Owner if the Work is not completed on time. Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, the Owner and Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty), Contractor shall pay Owner $2,650 each day that expires after the time specified in the Project Time for final completion. |
