2022 Water Main Replacement

The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to: NE 22nd Street Provide materials, equipment, and labor necessary, including excavation with shoring in accordance with Des Moines Water Works (DMWW) Rules and Regulations and OSHA requirements, installation, backfill, compaction, dewatering, testing, surface restoration, cleanup, and miscellaneous associated work, to complete installation of approximately 150 feet of 12-inch Ductile Iron Restrained Joint Trenched Water Main, 200 feet of 12-inch Ductile Iron Restrained Joint Trenched Water Main with 20-inch Steel Casing Pipe, connect to existing mains, install appurtenances, disconnect mains to be abandoned, and remove old surface facilities. Water Street Provide materials, equipment, and labor necessary, including excavation with shoring in accordance with Des Moines Water Works (DMWW) Rules and Regulations and OSHA requirements, installation, backfill, compaction, dewatering, testing, surface restoration, cleanup, and miscellaneous associated work, to complete installation of approximately 800 feet of 8-inch Polyvinyl Chloride restrained joint water main, 100 feet of 8-inch Polyvinyl Chloride restrained joint water main with 16-inch Steel Casing Pipe and chocks, and 20 feet of 8-inch restrained joint water main with 16-inch steel casing and chocks, connect to existing mains, install appurtenances and water service transfers, disconnect mains to be abandoned, and remove old surface facilities.
