Remove and Replace Acoustical Tile Ceiling

Remove existing 12” x 12” acoustical ceiling tiles, furnish and install new 1/2” drywall paneling on the ceiling of the Virginia Correctional Center for Women church. 1. Vendor shall furnish labor, material and equipment to remove the existing 12” x 12” ceiling acoustical tile 2. Vendor will cover the existing pews and along the center and opposite carpeted aisles with 6 mil poly and tape the seams. 3. Vendor will provide electrical disconnect and make safe the removal of the existing 1’ x 4’ fluorescent light ceiling fixtures and ceiling smoke detectors for later reinstallation. 4. Vendor will provide new 1/2” Drywall substrate and 1/4” wood furring on top of existing 3/4” ceiling substrate as required for ceiling tile placement. 5. Vendor shall temporarily protect existing historical windows from damage. 6. Vendor will paint the installed 1/2” drywall paneling, tape and finish with white latex paint 7. Reinstall removed 1’ x 4’ fluorescent light ceiling fixtures and ceiling smoke detectors 8. Vendor shall provide a 48” exhaust fans at front and rear doors of church to remove dust associated with construction demolition.
