Description | As of August 10, 2022, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. Bidders must complete a highway, bridge, or project specific pre-qualification through Maine DOT to be awarded the Contract. The lowest responsive bidder must have completed or successfully complete, a Highway Construction prequalification or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: Federal Aid Project No. 02220400, WIN 022204.00 Location: In Hancock County, project is located on Main Street (State Route 102), beginning approximately 500 LF South of Wood Street and extending 400 LF North of Apple Lane. Outline of Work: New sidewalk, curbing, landscaping, sewer, water, and storm drain along with surface restoration and other incidental work. The basis of award will be Section 1, Base Bid only. Bidders shall not contact any other municipal staff for clarification of Contract provisions; the Municipality will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Municipality and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, or certificate of deposit. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each for 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable Federal Laws. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all bids. DBE participation goal of 1.97% MBE (.8%), WBE (6.9%) To substantially complete the work within 330 calendar days and to complete the work within 360 calendar days ofthe formal Notice to Proceed. |
