Description

As of April 28, 2022, project was awarded to Allied Blacktop Company, awarded amount is $175,743.75. As of 03/04/2022 The seal costing budget is $178,750 and the fog sealing is $38,000. I would like to ask assistance to have the ITB changed to Bid Packet as per Patrick Quarry.No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening thereof. In reviewing the bids, the City will consider the cost of seal coat aggregate (supplied by the City) in its award decision. The Contractor will supply all equipment necessary for applying the seal coat and fog seal. The contractor will apply approximately 56,875 gallons of CRS2 and approximately 1,661 gallons of CRS-2PD; the final quantity to be determined by the City based on funds available. The City reserves the right to retain said certified check or bid bond until a contract has been awarded and signed, but no longer than thirty (30) days. City crews will prepare project sites; supply and load rock on contractor's trucks and clean up excess rock. Price bid shall be based on estimated gallons of asphaltic oil at the bid unit price. Contractor's personnel must be in compliance with OSHA standards including wearing all required safety equipment. All procedures and equipment will be in compliance with OSHA standards. Specifications and bid documents are available on the City's site or from the Office of the City Administrator, 227 South Front Street, Saint Peter, Minnesota 56082-2538. A PERFORMANCE BOND, CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, and proof of WORKER'S COMPENSATION INSURANCE is also required of the successful bidder. A CERTIFIED CHECK, CASHIER'S CHECK or BID BOND made payable to the City of Saint Peter, Minnesota, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid must be enclosed with the bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive defects in the bids, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the City.
