Description | The work generally consists of improving and expanding the Terminal Concourse and includes selective demolition, building construction including excavation, concrete work, masonry, metals, carpentry, thermal and moisture protection, doors and windows, interior finishes, plumbing, mechanical, geothermal, fire protection, solar photovoltaic (PV), electrical, communications and life safety and associated sitework. Prospective bidders are hereby advised that the quantities indicated herein are approximate and are subject to change per Section 40 of the General Provisions. The Cedar Rapids Airport Commission anticipates a Notice-of-Intent to award to be issued by December 31, 2022 and the Notice-to-Proceed to be issued no earlier than immediately following submittal and approval of the properly executed contract documents and no later than April 3, 2023 and has established the following completion requirements: - Work Area 1 - Phase 1: Start Date April 3, 2023; Complete within 90 Calendar Days; - Work Area 2 – Phase 1: Early Start Date December 18, 2023 - Work Area 2 – Phase 2, Terminal Delivery Drive: Limited to 14 Calendar Days; - Substantial Completion, All Work, by April 3, 2025; - Final Completion: 90 Calendar Days following Substantial Completion Date. The bidder should not include sales tax in the bid. Items included in the Project are exempt from State of Iowa and Local Option Sales and Use Taxes. Contractor is responsible for obtaining the exemption or for applying for reimbursement for such taxes paid. |
