Well No. 8 Arsenic Treatment Facility

The Project consists of constructing a new concrete masonry unit building to house a new coagulation-filtration and blending process equipment within the existing Well 8 site boundary. Installation of new coagulation-filtration process equipment including: pressure filter vessels with specially designed arsenic removal media; coagulation and pH adjustment chemical dosing systems; pumps, air blowers, and equalization tank for the air-assisted backwash system that reduces water waste; and process instrumentation and controls for automation and remote monitoring. Remove existing line-shaft turbine well pump and motor and replace with submersible pump and motor. Modifications to existing well head and process piping. Site electrical improvements for new equipment. Site improvements including grading and drainage to control and contain runoff.
