Demolition of Sanctuary

The City of Centre Point is seeking bids for demolition of special exception structures. The City intends, to award DEMOLITION OF SANCTUARY, inclusive of all structural types: wood frame, brick, masonry, etc. Nothing in this document shall prevent or preclude the City from utilizing its own equipment and personnel to perform demolition related services as may be determined to be in the best interest of the City. Size of each structure will be defined as the total square footage of all floor levels of the structure from the ground level and above. The City is not responsible for delays occasioned by the U.S. Postal Service, the internal mail delivery system of the City, or any other means of delivery employed by the Bidder. Similarly, the City is not responsible for, and will not open, any bid/proposal responses, which are received later than the date and time, indicated above. Late bids/proposals will be retained in the bid/proposal file, unopened. All bids are to be submitted on the bid form provided and delivered to City Hall, City of Centre Point, 2209 Centre Point Parkway; Centre Point Alabama 35215. CERTIFIED CHECK/BIDBOND/CASHIER'S CHECK A certified check, cashier's check, money order or acceptable bid bond in the name of the bidder made payable to the City of Centre Point in the amount of $5,000.00 must accompany the bid. No cash or personal/company checks will be considered acceptable. Bid bond checks will be returned to all unsuccessful bidders after the formal award is made and to the successful bidder after acceptance of award. Should the successful bidder fail to accept the award, the bid bond or check shall be forfeited. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a $50,000.00 Performance Bond and a Statutory Labour and Material Payment Bond in the amount of $50,000.00 on a surety company approved and duly authorized to do business in the State of Alabama. The City follows a policy of non-discrimination. No contractor with the City should discriminate on the basis of race, sex, religion or national origin. Failure by the Bidder to carry out these requirements is a material breach of its obligations, which may result in its termination or such other remedy as the City deems appropriate
