Construction of Green Stormwater Infrastructure in 16th Police District

Goals: MBE: 17% - 20% and WBE: 10% - 13%. This work includes all work necessary to install complete and fully usable green stormwater infrastructure surface, sub-surface features and exterior accessible ramp and stair in the project areas as shown and described in the Contract Documents. In general, the work includes sawcutting and removal of existing sidewalk and paving; excavation of trenches and disposal of material; excavation and grading of rain gardens; installation of clean washed stone and geotextile; installation of thermoplastic, ductile iron and RCP drainage pipe and fittings, cleanouts and riser structures; installation of energy dissipaters; installation of observation wells; installation of trench drains and concrete aprons; installation of new stormwater inlets, control structures and laterals; installation and modification of existing inlets, restoration of sidewalks, curbs and streets; and placement and grading of specified stormwater and planting soils, removal of existing exterior stone steps; removal of metal grate and area well curbs; remove aluminum storefront system in its entirety; removal of interior door; remove interior wood handrails; remove interior existing hollow metal frame and wood doors; excavation of area of proposed accessible ramp and stair; infil interior stair with rigid foam and concrete to bring elevation to floor level 1; install two (2) aluminum storefront system with tempered glass; install auto operator push button actuator at front entrance; infil below grade window void with block as required to form backside of concrete foundation wall; backfill and concrete (including concrete foundation walls, footings, and rebar as needed) to create accessible curb ramp and stair; install waterproofing membrane over existing brick masonry at building and accessible ramp interface; and install steel pipe handrails along exterior or accessible ramp and stair.
