Description | This project includes the demolition and renovation of the men’s and women’s shower rooms at the Westminster Family Fitness Center. At a minimum, the Contractor shall: 1. Conduct a pre-construction meeting with City staff to discuss the goals of the project, timeline, and parameters. 2. Demolish and remove interior tiled partition walls and all other wall and floor and tile. 3. Install new, cement board (applicable for ceramic tile installation) on all shower room walls. 4. Following demolition of existing ceramic floor tiles, remove any remaining mudset or soft underlayment to the concrete slab. To ensure all drains operate correctly, concrete sloping is also the responsibility of this Contract. 5. Provide samples of ceramic tiles for owner approval. Install selected ceramic tile to walls and floors. 5 6. Remove and replace existing ceiling with moisture-resistant gypsum drywall. Wire and install new ceiling-mounted light fixtures, and finish and paint ceiling drywall. Provide general recessed LED lighting as shown in architectural drawing. Lighting systems shall be controlled in accordance with IECC requirements. 7. Provide and install new plumbing, drains, controls, and fixtures. New showerheads (handheld at ADA showers), mixing valves, and controls at all showers, manufactured by Delta, Moen, or acceptable commercial grade equivalent. Where not currently existing, provide anti-scald valve and flow-restricting showerheads at all showers. 8. Provide an install new ADA-complaint transfer benches and grab bars as shown at all ADA shower cubicles. 9. Provide and install overhead-braced high-density polyethylene (HDPE) shower partitions as shown, as manufactured by Scranton Products or acceptable equivalent. Color and texture as selected by Owner. 10. Provide and install towel hooks and shower curtain rods as indicated. 11. Patch and repair any areas disturbed by construction to match existing/adjacent surfaces. |
