Construction Engineering and Inspection Services - Round Lake Road Master Lift Station

The successful Consultant will be required to provide CEI services for construction of a new master lift station facility, connected sewer mains, utility adjustments, new driveway, and other appurtenances according to certain engineering plans for the Round Lake Road Master Lift Station project. The new lift station site is located on City property identified as 30820 Round Lake Road in Lake County, Florida. The inspection staff must be under the direct supervision of a registered/licensed professional engineer. It is the responsibility of the Consultant to provide services necessary to ensure the project is constructed in reasonable conformity with the plans, specifications, and contract provisions. Services for this project may include, but are not limited to, the following: • Preconstruction activities, including constructability reviews and utility coordination. • Perform field engineering and inspection of the project and maintain an adequate level of surveillance of the construction contractor’s activities. • Assist with the review of permits, shop drawings, plans, and supporting documents as needed for City concurrence. • Attend and participate in pre-construction and regular construction meetings. • Maintain organized, complete, and accurate records of all activities and events related to the project. • Make recommendations to the City to resolve disputes related to the construction contract as needed. • Review the contractor’s schedule in detail and review requests for contract time extensions. • Provide review of invoices submitted by the contractor to the City. • Review proposed change orders related to the project and assist in negotiations related to these change orders with the contractor. • Provide testing services, which may be needed including asphalt and concrete material testing, density and compaction testing, gradation testing, and pipe joint testing. • Assist in the preparation of the needed final estimate and close out package required for the project. • Provide public involvement/stakeholder coordination as needed. • Assure that all verification testing is performed in accordance with, when applicable, the Current Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, as amended from time to time
