Description

The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a Highway Construction, Paving, or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: WIN: 024899.00 Location: In Aroostook County, the project is located in the towns of Fort Kent and Frenchville. Outline of Work: Slope stabilization along the St. John River, on the Maine Northern Railway mainline. For general information about bidding and contracting, call George Macdougall at (207) 624-3410. For Project-specific questions using the electronic RFI form should be faxed to (207) 624-3431, attention Project Manager Mackenzie Kersbergen, or emailed to RFI-rontracts.MDOThz:mainc.gov. Subject line should include the project name and identification number. Questions received after 12:00 noon of the Monday before bid date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other MaineDOT staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and MaineDOT will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. TTY users call Maine Relay 711. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable Federal Laws. This contract is subject to compliance with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program requirements as set forth by the Maine Department of Transportation. MaineDOT reserves the right to reject any or all bids. . MEDOT - Riverbank Slope Stabilization - Fort Kent and Frenchville - Region 5 MaineDOT accepts electronic bids for bid packages on the website. Electronic bids do not need to be accompanied by paper bids. MaineDOT will accept a facsimile of the bid bond. but the MaineDOT Contracts Section must receive the original bid bond within 72 hours of the bid opening. Until further notice, MaineDOT will accept dual bids (one paper, one electronic) - with the paper copy taking precedence.
