Description

The Maryland Department of Transportation the ("Department" or "MDOT") is issuing this Invitation to Bid ("IFB") requesting Bids for an Electrical Contractor to remove existing lighting fixtures and furnish and install new LED lighting fixtures, including all labor, materials, equipment and related incidentals at MDOT The Secretary's Office (TSO) headquarters parking lots and campus for the Office of Fleet, Facilities and Administrative Services (OFFAS). The Department requires the use of energy efficient outdoor lighting designed to maximize energy conservation and minimize light pollution, glare and light trespass, as a one-time purchase between the successful bidder and the MDOT. - The Contractor shall perform all work to remove and replace existing outdoor lighting fixtures for The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT), TSO Headquarters located at 7201 Corporate Center Drive, Hanover MD 21076. There are thirty-one (31) pole mounted light fixtures to be removed and replaced with new LED fixtures. All pole electrical wiring will be replaced from base to lamp. - Supply and install parking lot pole light led fixtures to replace existing. - Electrical Systems and Lighting and Components and Accessories and Supplies Existing Light Fixtures: a. Removal of existing light fixtures: Remove 31 existing pole mounted lighting heads. The contractor shall completely disconnect and remove the fixture from the pole. The existing pole will remain in place. b. Remove existing Electrical wiring in pole: Remove all electrical wiring in the pole from the lamp to the base (splice point) New Lighting Fixtures: 1. All existing lighting poles will be fitted for replacement of a new LED fixture by the Contractor. The fixtures will be pole mounted. All caps on poles need to be removed and replaced with part #NP-PTC-SQ-4. . All poles shall come with a five (5)-year finish warranty. 2. LED Products: Lighting heads must be part # ALED3T260/D10 (See Figure 1); and at least 250 Watts or above and produce enough light to match or exceed current light projections on each of MDOT's parking lots. The fixtures must also be weather tight and have durable finish to withstand rust and deterioration. The fixture must be rated to work in temperature ranges typical for the midAtlantic region, minus 40 degrees or high temperatures not exceeding 110 degrees ambient temperature. RAB warrants that LED products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of delivery to the end user, including coverage of light output, color stability, driver performance and fixture finish.
