Description

Rebuilding portions of two existing 138-kV transmission circuits in Garland, TX. These circuits run from the corner of Wynn Joyce Road and E Oates Road to a point approximately 1.92 miles north (0.4 miles south of State Highway 66). Approximately 0.98 miles of this transmission line section will be rebuilt with a double-circuit configuration. An additional 0.67 miles will be rebuilt with a single-circuit configuration. The remaining structures in this section will remain as-is. New structures 22 and 23 will be self-supported galvanized steel monopoles and will utilize direct-embedded foundations. New structures 24 - 29 and 33 - 37 will be self-supported galvanized steel monopoles and will utilize drilled shaft foundations. The new conductors for all rebuilt portions of the line will be 795 ACSR (26/7) “Drake.” The new shield wire for all portions of the line will be 3/8” EHS Steel.
