Description

Provide professional engineering services for the design of I-81 widening through Salem, VA from approximately mile marker 144.2 to 150.5. The primary purpose of the project is to widen approximately a 6.5-mile section of northbound and southbound I-81 from two to three lanes in each direction. To minimize impacts, it is anticipated that the majority of the widening will be towards the median.
