Description | The project includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and all else necessary for construction of the Bassett Creek Park off leash dog area, parking lot, and installation of a pedestrian bridge. In general, work consists of all labor and materials for construction complete in-place, including, but is not limited to, general earthwork, concrete pavement, concrete curb, concrete abutments, prefabricated bridge installation, asphalt paving, utilities, fencing, landscaping, seeding, and site restoration. The successful bidder must be a "responsible contractor." The term "responsible contractor" means a contractor as defined in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. Any prime contractor, subcontractor, or motor carrier that does not meet the minimum criteria or fails to comply with the verification and other requirements of the statute is not a responsible contractor and is not eligible to be awarded a construction contract for the project or to perform work on the project. Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the amount of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The provisions of the documents constituting the Contract shall be read together and reconciled to the greatest extent reasonably possible. To the extent there are any conflicting provisions that cannot be reconciled, the more specific provision shall generally be controlling. To the extent the conflicting provision is contained in the Special Contract Provisions (Exhibit G) or in the General Requirements and Covenants (Exhibit F), the provisions contained in such documents shall be controlling. Start construction on or after April 17, 2023 (a) Substantial completion on or before July 28, 2023. (b) Final completion on or before August 11, 2023. (c) Ready for final payment on or before August 25, 2023. |
