Description | That this is an electronic bid submission. The Bidder must upload its bid prior to the hour specified so that it is included in the project download. Late bids cannot be accepted. This is the only way to submit a bid for this project; paper bids will not be accepted. The apparent bid results for this Invitation for Bids ("IFB") will be made available for viewing electronically and on NJ TRANSIT's Procurement Calendar. The work under this IFB generally consists of, but is not limited to, The Project involves replacement of two chillers, two cooling towers and associated piping and controls. All work must be in strict conformance with the drawings and technical specifications provided in the Bid Documents. In order to obtain all pertinent bid documents, interested firms must register To subscribe, follow instructions on the website. The fee schedule is available on the website. In order to submit a bid, NJ TRANSIT recommends that Bidders apply for a digital ID at least seven (7) business days prior to the Bid Due Date. All fees are directly payable. General navigation (registering, setting up to bid electronically, and solicitation review). prior to actual selection of a solicitation for bidding is free. All bidders must be prequalified by NJ TRANSIT prior to submitting a bid. Bidders must be prequalified for BC (Building Construction - Non- Operating Railroad Environment) as a GC (General Contractor) with a SP (Specialty in HV- HVAC, Mechanical Systems) and for an amount of work that is equal to or greater than their bid amount. NJ TRANSIT suggests a minimum rating of "K" ($3,000,001-$4,000,000). Prequalification questionnaires are available for download from website. Bidders who are not currently prequalified as required above or whose prequalification has expired must submit completed prequalification forms to Raven Costa racosta@njtransit.com no later than the submittal date identified in the Special Provisions. Upon confirmation of your firm's RSVP, NJ TRANSIT will forward an invitation for the video conference. All prospective bidders are to gather in the waiting area at Newark Penn Station, Newark, NJ. Bidders are advised that a NJ TRANSIT escort is necessary while present on non-public areas of NJ TRANSIT property. Bidders must bring and wear their own safety apparatus including hard hats, reflective vests and hard toed shoes/boots in order to go on the site visit. Unauthorized/unescorted entry onto the railroad right-of-way is strictly prohibited. This project is subject to the requirements of the Public Works Contractor Registration Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq.). Contractors and subcontractors must also comply with the State of New Jersey Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services Business Registration Certificate requirements (N.J.S.A. 52:32-44). Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, regarding Equal Employment Opportunity Laws and Regulations. NJ TRANSIT requires bidders utilizing Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) subcontractors/vendors/suppliers to comply with all aspects of NJ TRANSIT's DBE Program in the use of DBE's. This is a Race Neutral project. In accordance with N.J.S.A. 27:25-11(b)(3) and N.J.A.C. 16:72-2.2, bidders are notified that a bid bond in the amount of the bid price is required with their bids. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
