Description

Contractor is to clear the canals and ditches listed in the Base Bid Unit Price Schedule of all floating vegetation from the water surface, grasses growing on canal bottom, invasive species, and debris from the canals, ditches, canal banks, and ditch banks within the limits maintained by St. Lucie County. The work is to include removal, transport, and legal disposal of all vegetation, invasive species, and debris removed from the canals and ditches. All slopes are to be restored to a stable, maintainable condition upon completion of the removal of vegetation from the canal rights-of-way. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining erosion control measures to limit erosion of the canal banks and turbidity within the downstream waterways. The contractor will be responsible for cleaning adjacent roadway, curb, sidewalks, or other structures following completion of the work.
