Description | Provide lawn care service at the Tarboro Campus located at 2009 W West Street, Tarboro, NC 7886. Contractor will furnish all labor, equipment, fuel, disposal fees, and any other items necessary to perform the scope of work. a) Trash pick-up and removal will be performed prior to the lawn mowing. b) All lawn areas are to be mowed weekly during the growing season and as often as necessary in the off-peak season to maintain a well-groomed lawn to approximately 2-1/2 - 3 inches weekly. c) The sidewalks and beds will be edged as necessary to maintain a neat appearance during the grounds maintenance service. d) All clippings will be blown from sidewalks, driveways and streets during the grounds maintenance service. e) Shrubs and trees will be pruned one (1) time per year between late September and November after summer growth has stopped and leaves are starting to drop. f) Mulch will be spread one (1) time per year on existing mulch beds including, but not limited to, around trees, planters, and buildings. Pine straw will be applied on beds one (1) time per year where there are existing beds with pine straw. g) Plants will be fertilized two (2) times per year during early spring green-up (April) and during late fall - early winter (November - December after pruning in complete). h) Weeds will be pulled from beds at grounds maintenance service. Herbicide may be used to help control weeds. i) Lawn fertilization and pre-emergent will be applied in early spring (April - May) to all lawn areas maintained weekly. j) Chemical will be applied to shrubbery beds, concrete walks and cracks in asphalt to prevent the growth of weeds and grass. k) Pest control for aphids, ants, grubs, etc. will be applied as needed. |
