Description

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashiers check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders are also requested to provide a copy of his/her companys liability insurance certificate with a minimum coverage of one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) when bid is submitted. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governors Executive Order of 1972, and Governors Executive Order 84-9 shall be required and a Project Labor Agreement is entered into collectively between the City of Massillon; the East Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council; and the Signatory Unions. This project is Federally assisted. Contracts to be award under this invitation for bids will be subject to Presidential Executive Order 11246, as amended, requiring affirmative action for equal employment opportunity (EEO). Contractors are further advised that January 27, 1972, Equal Opportunity Executive Order of the Government of Ohio is also applicable to this bid. The work to be performed under this contract is also subject to Federal Labor Standards Provisions, including the payment of prevailing wage rates as determined by the Secretary of Labor in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act. No Bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the lowest and best bidder for each contract.
