West Friendship Scale House Roof Replacement

The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) State Highway Administration (SHA) is soliciting bids for a qualified contractor to provide roof replacement at the West Friendship TWIS Scale House located at West Bound I-70 just past Route 32, West Friendship, MD 21794. This work includes all labor, materials, parts, service, and transportation to ensure the satisfactory performance of the roof replacement. This will be a Lump Sum Bid. The Contractor shall inspect work to ensure proper installation in accordance with the specification in the Invitation for Bids. QUESTIONS DUE DATE: September 13, 2022, 2:00 P.M. Removal of existing asphalt shingles, underlayment and metal flashings; a. The existing gutter shall be left in place for re-use. DO NOT DAMAGE. 2. Removal ofgable end wooden louvered vents; 3. Installation of associated edge (drip edge), valley flashings, and penetration flashings; 4. Installation ofnew wood or plastic louvered gable vents; 5. Installation ofa new ridge venting; 6. Installation ofnew underlayment and new architectural asphalt shingles at the Scale House; 7. Provide a Manufacturer's Warranty indicating the 8.
