Description | Each Bid should be clearly marked "BID ENCLOSED FOR THE UNION CITY, INDIANA, 2023 STREET RESURFACING PROJECT" and the bidders name and address on the outside of the envelope. Bids submitted after that time will be returned to the bidder unopened. A conditional or unqualified Bid will be rejected In general, the Base Bid will include milling, resurfacing, storm inlet adjustments, pavement striping, and ADA curb ramps, in the following areas; Plum Street, from Lynn St. to Deerfield Rd. (Drive lanes only), and Howard Street, from Park Ave. to Deerfield Rd. (Drive lanes only). The Project, which is funded from Town funds and a Community Crossings Grant, will be constructed in up to one (1) contract division. Copies of any and all addenda which may be issued for this project shall be included with the purchased documents and shall be forwarded to all bid documents holders at their return street address. Documents may be examined at Eastern Engineering Supply Reprographics, 9901 Allisonville Road, Fishers, Indiana 46038, Phone: 317-598-0661. Bidders are required to receive bid documents directly from Eastern Engineering. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided in the Bid Documents and shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount bid with satisfactory corporate surety or by a certified check on a solvent bank. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Bid. Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids. All bids received shall remain valid and in force for 60 calendar days after the date of Bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids in whole or in part as specified in the solicitation when it is not in the best interest of the governmental body as determined by the purchasing agency in accordance with IC 5-22-18-2. The Owner also reserves the right to waive irregularities in any Bid, and to accept any Bid, which is deemed most favorable to the Owner. |
