WSMR B1318 HVAC Renovations

Design-Bid-Build renovation of the HVAC system for the Gymnasium at Building 1318 at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. Building 1318 functions as the MWR Youth Development Center at White Sands Missile Range. This project is required to replace the HVAC system for the Gymnasium only. The Building 1318 Gymnasium serves as a multi-purpose room and is approximately 7,200 square feet in size. The Gymnasium will not be occupied during performance of the work, but the remaining administrative and recreational zones of the facility will be occupied during the construction activities. The project will include the removal of an existing air handler unit, associated piping and electrical circuits, and ductwork. The project includes the installation of a new dedicated outdoor air DX split system for dehumidification, DX heat pump for primary heating and cooling, ductwork, diffusers and grilles, equipment pad, chain-link fencing around exterior equipment, BACnet based DDC controls, new electrical branch panel, electrical wiring and conduit for the new equipment, duct smoke detectors, and new mechanical room door with safety guardrail system. The Contractor is required to conduct commissioning of new equipment and systems and testing, adjusting, and balancing of the new and existing HVAC systems
