Description | The Township off Woodbridge requests bids for all Township departments and bidders may voluntarily extend the contract to the Township of Woodbridge Cooperative Pricing System membership. Bid responses must be made on the standard proposal forms, be enclosed in a sealed package bearing the name and address of the bidder and the "BID TITLE NAME & CONTRACT #" on the outside and addressed to Jennifer Burns, Purchasing Agent, at the address above. Any Bid Addenda will be issued via email to anyone requesting a bid package and processed in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23(c)(1). All interested bidders should check with our office from now through bid opening. It is the sole responsibility of the respondent to be knowledgeable of all addenda related to this procurement. BIDDERS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Bidders are required to comply with N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 (Business Registration Law) as more specifically set forth in bid specifications. Faxed or emailed bids will NOT be accepted PHASE 1 Under Subchapter 8 guidelines: A. Remove and properly dispose of all Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) from the School Building on the Mount Carmel property located at 267 E. Smith Street, Woodbridge, New Jersey. B. Removal and disposal of all drywall in the building due to ACM in the drywall compound. C. Removal and disposal of all blackboards in the building due to ACM in the mastic. D. Removal and disposal of all ceiling (Non-ACM) materials, to be removed on the ceiling joists) in the building to facilitate the removal of the drywall on the walls. All in accordance with specifications prepared by Briggs Associates Project #22009 dated August 16, 2022 entitles PROJECT SPECIFCATIONS FOR ASBESTOS ABATEMENT - TOWNSHIP OF WOODBRIDGE - MT. CARMEL SCHOOL BUILDDING 267 E. SMITH STREET, WOODBRIDGE, NJ. PHASE 2 Under Non-Subchapter 8 guidelines: A. Remove and properly dispose of all windows, window frames, window glazing/putty and caulk throughout the building. All in accordance with the Pre-Renovation Asbestos Inspection and Lead-Based Paint Screening Report prepared by Sky Environmental Services, Inc. for 267 E. Smith Street, Woodbridge, NJ dated December 24, 2021. It should be noted that the removal of the windows will be undertaken as a separate task on an "on call" basis in the future to be completed prior to the installation of new windows (in the same openings) throughout the building. All the appropriate measures are to be taken to prevent ACM from entering the "clean" building. Plastic sheeting will be required to cover the window openings from inside the building to seal the interior of the building. All work is to be completed from outside of the building. Plastic sheeting must be placed on the ground under the work areas so that all debris and ACM containing materials can be collected and removed from the site and properly disposed in accordance with all applicable EPA, DEP, NJ STATE guidelines, requirements, and regulations. |
