Winter Tree Pruning

To provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials and expertise required to perform tree maintenance in the City of Upper Arlington, Ohio as specified herein. Since the work is of a potentially dangerous nature and requires specialized expertise, it must be performed by a company which derives the majority of its annual income from arboricultural work, and whose employees are highly trained and skilled in all phases of tree maintenance and removal work, including work around utility lines. Work performance history and references may be required by the City.Work begins approximately February 7, 2023 and is completed by April 28, 2023. All oak trees must be prioritized to be pruned prior to the end of March.Before work begins, a mandatory meeting shall be held between the Superintendent of Parks and Forestry and all employees of the Contractor who are expected to serve as field supervisors under this Contract. This meeting shall be held at a time and place set by the City, and will cover the work to be performed under this Contract, and any questions the Contractor may have.Failure to complete all work by the contract deadline shall be cause for a penalty of $100.00 per incomplete street to be deducted from final monies owed to the contractor for work actually completed. Deadlines for contract completion may be extended in writing only and at the Citys discretion.
