Description

As of August 5, 2022, a designer has not been selected. No firm timeline has been established for the construction. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL & STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES OF THE NEW IRON COUNTY JAIL & SHERIFF'S COMPLEX DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Iron County (Owner) is soliciting proposals for a qualified architectural firm to assist in the design of a new Iron County Jail & Sheriff's Complex. This request seeks proposals from qualified respondents to provide design services including: * Preliminary design to set project scope and budget * Meetings with Iron County Sheriff and Iron County staff to determine facility programming needs for the Jail and Sheriff's Office and to achieve an optimal balance of safety, security, cost efficiency, floorplan functionality, and operational efficiency. Deliverables will include: standard design phases of Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding & Negotiation and Contract Administration. The anticipated delivery method is to be CM/GC in a Design-Assist capacity. The A/E team will work with the selected CM/GC and Owner during the design phases to establish final project scope, budget and schedule. The A/E will work with Iron County and the CM/GC team to keep the design within the agreed-upon budget and will propose design alternatives to the Owner for consideration. The successful A/E team must demonstrate a thorough understanding of Jail, Correctional and Public Design and be able to guide Iron County and the CM/GC through the design process. The A/E will work with the CM/GC during the construction phase to represent the Owner's interests and compliance with the design intent. All proposals that are not received by the deadline will be considered late and will be returned to the respondent unopened. Digital submissions are allowed via email. Hard copy proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope appropriately marked with the Proposal title and the name and address of the Respondent clearly visible.
