2023 Water Treatment Chemicals

The City of Kirksville, Missouri, will accept sealed bids for the furnishing of the 2023 supplies of: 1. Hydrofluosilicic Acid 2. Liquid Chlorine 3. Copper Sulfate 4. 19% Ammonia Solution Proposals that contain any omissions, erasures, or alternations, or specifications that contain any irregularities of any kind, may be rejected as unresponsive. No proposals will be considered unless properly signed by the bidder or his legally authorized agent or representative, with address and phone number in the correct spaces provided. By action of the City Council, the municipal purchasing officers are encouraged to select products manufactured, assembled or produced in the United States if the quality and price are comparable with other goods. All Bids Must Be F. O. B. Kirksville Water Purification Plant, Potter Ave. (Old Highway 6 West), Kirksville. Missouri. To furnish chemicals, F.O.B. to Kirksville Water Purification Plant, Potter Avenue (Old Highway 6 West), Kirksville, Missouri, in accordance with the following specifications: TO: City of Kirksville, Missouri Delivery of items will be made on demand from the City of Kirksville, Missouri. Chemical manifests shall be provided to the City as required by Missouri State law. MSDS sheets must be provided for each chemical from supplying vendor upon written award notice. It is also understood that these chemicals are safe for use in drinking water supplies when used in proper amounts and that they also meet the attached AWWA specifications. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for the opening of the bid is past. I, the undersigned agent for the firm named below, certify that the bid pricing submitted, if accepted, the prices quoted above include all applicable taxes, surcharges and fees for the duration of agreement ending December 31, 2023. The City is not bound by this bid specification to purchase the entire estimated amounts listed above. By my signature below, I certify that this bid submittal meets the specifications requested and I have the authority to submit the pricing. Hydrofluosilicic Acid Applicable AWWA Standard - Affidavit of compliance may be required by the City from the manufacturer or vendor that the Hydrofluosilicic Acid furnished complies with all applicable requirement of AWWA B703-00. Liquid Chlorine Applicable AWWA Standard - AWWA B301-99 Liquid Chlorine shall be shipped in one-ton cylinders. Copper Sulfate Applicable AWWA Standard - Copper Sulfate shall be in crystalline form and shall be sized "B" or "C". The size shall be designated by the City of Kirksville when placing each order. Affidavit of compliance may be required by the City from the manufacturer or vendor that the Copper Sulfate furnished complies with all applicable requirements of AWWA B602-02. 19% Ammonia Solution Applicable AWWA Standard - Affidavit of compliance may be required by the City from the manufacturer or vendor that the 19% Aqua Ammonia furnished complies with all applicable requirements of AWWA-B306-07. Vertical Hydrated Lime Applicable AWWA Standard - AWWA B202-02 Affidavit of compliance may be required by the purchaser from the manufacturers or vendor that the Vertical Hydrated Lime furnished complies with all applicable requirements of AWWA B202. The City of Kirksville reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any and all irregularities and/ or formalities as deemed appropriate in the sole discretion of owner, and to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder, and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or conditional bids. Discrepancies between words and figures will be resolved in the favor of wording. Discrepancies between the indicated sum of any column of figures and the correct sum thereof will be resolved in favor of the correct sum. Bid selection will be based on the lowest and best bidder that is in the best to the City. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for the opening of the bids is past.
