Description | The purpose of this Solicitation is to establish a contract, for painting and general building repair services associated with painting at Police facilities, as specified herein, from a source(s), fully compliant with the terms, conditions and stipulations of the Solicitation. Successful Bidder shall provide all labor, parts, materials, and equipment, lift, and inclusive of paint, necessary to provide painting services and general building repairs (on an as needed basis after painting services), at the various City of Miami Police Department facilities. In addition, the Successful Bidder(s) shall have staff available to perform emergency services when requested within twenty-four (24) hours, seven (7) days a week. Q & A deadline: Jul 13, 2023 5:00:00 PM EDT The Contract shall commence upon the date of notice of award and shall be effective for three (3) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods, subject to the availability of funds for succeeding fiscal years. Continuation of the Contract beyond the initial period is a City prerogative, not the right of the Bidder(s). This prerogative will be exercised only when such continuation is clearly in the best interest of the City Services performed for the City will require licenses and permits in the same manner as private construction projects within the City. The Successful Bidder shall secure, at their expense, all licenses and permits and shall fully comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and codes as required by the State of Florida, county, or local ordinances. A cashier's or certified check issued by a bank authorized to transact banking business in Florida, or a Bid Bond/Bid Security signed by a surety company that is licensed to do business in the State of Florida, payable to the City of Miami, for the amount as specified in the bid, is required from all Bidders, if so indicated under the Special Conditions. This check or bond guarantees that a Bidder will accept the Contract, as bid, if it is awarded to Bidder. Bidder shall forfeit bid deposit to the City, should City award Contract to Bidder and Bidder fails to accept the award. The City reserves the right to reject any and all surety tendered to the City. Bid deposits are returned to unsuccessful Bidders within ten (10) days after the award and Successful Bidder's acceptance of award. If one hundred eighty (180) days have passed after the date of the Formal Solicitation closing date, and no Contract has been awarded, all bid deposits will be returned on demand. A Successful Bidder/Contractor may be required to furnish a Performance/Payment Bond as part of the requirements of the Bid Contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Bid Contract price. Any bond furnished will comply with Florida Law, and be in a form acceptable to the City of Miami Risk Management Director. The City reserves the right to award the Contract on a split-order, lump sum, individual-item basis, or such method of award in the best interest of the City, unless otherwise specified. |
