Renovations to the "Welcome to Battle Creek Wall, Fountain, and Sojourner Truth Monument

City is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide restoration services to the "Welcome to Battle Creek" wall, fountain system, and the Sojourner Truth Monument located at Monument Park, 110 Michigan Ave E., in Battle Creek, MI Purchasing Contact: Christine Huff, E-mail: clhuff@battlecreekmi.gov questions only. Technical Questions - Chris Huff, Clhuff@battlecreekmi.gov Pre-proposal Conference: None. Prevailing Wages: Required for This Project. Contractor Shall Abide by All the Requirements Set Forth in Section 208.09, Prevailing Wages on City Projects, of the City's Administrative Code. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or standard form proposal bond, made payable to the City of Battle Creek, in an amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the base proposal submitted. Failure of any accepted bidder to enter into a contract for the work will cause forfeit of the proposal security. After contracts for the work have been signed, all proposal securities will be returned The accepted bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and labor/materials payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract and insurance certificate upon forms acceptable to the City.
