Description | Mapleleaf Estates Water Main Upgrades The principal features of the work will consist of the installation of approximately 1,400 linear feet of 6-inch polyvinylchloride (PVC) water main along Lowell Lane with approximately 20 new water services, and new 6- inch ductile iron water main to cross to the east side of Music Lane; also to include the installation of approximately 2,500 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron water main in the roadway of Mapleleaf Circle and approximately 1,100 linear feet of 4-inch ductile iron water main in the roadway of Mapleleaf Circle, Mapleleaf Lane, and Mapleleaf Drive. In Mapleleaf Estates, 107 new copper water services are to be installed, meters set and structures connected as required, to form a functioning system for ECUA to operate and maintain. The file sharing service will also alert registrants about updates and/or addenda. ECUA advises potential bidders, suppliers and subcontractors to rely only on information personally obtained from ECUA's file sharing service and not from third parties. All questions about the meaning or intent of the bidding documents are to be submitted to Engineer (Mark Evans Robertson II, P.E. Project Engineer) in writing via email up to seven (7) days prior to the bid opening. Interpretations up to seven (7) days prior to the bid opening. Interpretations or clarification considered necessary by the Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by addenda to the ECUA website to all parties registered to receive documents about this bid via the website. Questions received less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the date for the opening of bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect The Emerald Coast Utilities Authority reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid; reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part; rebid a project, in whole or in part; and to accept a proposal that in its judgment is the lowest and best bid of a responsible bidder. In accepting a bid, ECUA may award a contract based only on the base bid, the base bid plus all alternates, or the base bid plus any alternates that ECUA selects, with all decisions being made based upon what ECUA believes to be in the best interests of its ratepayers, in the reasonable exercise of its discretion. ECUA further reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities as may be required to meet the needs of ECUA at the unit price which was bid. The ECUA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, marital status, and disability/handicapped status, veteran status, or any other legally protected status in employment or provision of service. |
