Description

Through this RFP, Merrimack County intends to select a Contractor to enter into an Agreement to perform roofing system removal and replacement services at the county building listed below and further described in this RFP. The County of Merrimack aims to move as quickly as practicable and identify the most qualified Respondent that: 1. Meet the needs of the County of Merrimack. 2. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the work. 3. Is capable of performing the work in a timely manner. The County of Merrimack is soliciting proposals for a project that consists of the purchase and installation of a new greenhouse structure on an existing concrete foundation, the installation of new radiant slab in the greenhouse, the relocation of existing solar collectors to a site immediately adjacent to the new greenhouse, and other ancillary work. The solar collectors will be integrated into the site utility system. The intent of this Request for Proposal is to obtain the services of a qualified contractor to perform the demolition and installation services as described herein. Below is a list of Drawings and associated Specifications that respondents should use as the basis for cost proposals In general the project consists of a new greenhouse and relocation of solar collectors according to the terms, conditions, and specifications of this solicitation. This project is outlined in further detail in section four (4) of this document. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to acquire offers from various contractors, conduct a fair evaluation based on criteria listed herein, and select the respondent who best provides the County with the desired product and service. Merrimack County is a governmental entity that operates under the discretion of elected officials that manage County finances. Selected proposal will be subject to approval of the Merrimack County Board of Commissioners. Responses can be submitted via traditional courier services (i.e. UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.) or, due to current COVID-19 restrictions, respondents will be allowed to email their proposals to the following address: jgardner@merrimackcounty.net. Please use specifications provided in this packet so that responses can be accurately scored and rated. Please include any added services and/or warranty information along with pricing document(s) for rating purposes. The successful respondent will be required to execute a contract with the County which will incorporate, at a minimum, the Terms and Conditions contained in this Request for Proposal. A copy of the RFP and proposal will be attached as exhibits to the Contract. Failure to comply with this requirement will not relieve the successful respondent of its obligation to carry out the Scope of the resulting contract. All questions and inquiries concerning this RFP must be submitted in writing, via electronic mail, to Purchasing Manager, Jonathan Gardner. E-mail: jgardner@merrimackcounty.net. Inquiries may not be answered directly. The County of Merrimack will address all written questions submitted by the deadline and issue an Addendum to known interested parties and Bid News websites. Additionally, all Addendums will be posted to the Merrimack County web site. Respondents can submit two (2) original hard copies and/or electronic copies via email to jgardner@merrimackcounty.net and cpeterson@merrimackcounty.net its response according to the requirements set forth and the format described herein. A "Proposed Awardee" will be generated after the response evaluation is complete. The successful proposal will be presented to the Merrimack County Board of Commissioners for approval and any Award will be issued after the Board of Commissioners has reviewed and approved the purchase being presented. The final Award will be issued in the form of an executed award contract.
