Description | 394-ParkingLotRenovations2 The purpose and scope of this project is to furnish all materials, labor, tools, and equipment for the construction work necessary to complete the renovations package to the existing overflow lot as detailed in the associated plans. Bids shall be received as follows: Single Prime Bids for the General Construction work as shown and/or described in the plans. All contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective trades. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a deposit of cash or certified check on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to 5% of the gross amount of the Proposal. In lieu thereof, such bidders may file a bid bond executed in accordance with conditions as prescribed by GS 143-129 as amended. The deposit shall be retained if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract within 10 days after the award or fails to give satisfactory surety as required by law. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) for the Contract Price. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of thirty (30) days. Minority and women-owned business enterprises are encouraged to participate. Cabarrus County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award contracts in the best interest of the County Kimley-Horn will respond to bid questions and may be issuing addendums upon request.
