Water/Sewer Infrastructure Upgrades

As of December 1, 2023, the project has been awarded, however, a timeline for construction has not been confirmed. This project consists of the installation of approximately 2,343 LF of 12", 2,514 LF of 6" and 690 LF of 2" water mains and services along with the installation of all appurtenances, replacement hydrants and insertion valves. It will also consist of the rehabilitation of 1,018 LF of 8" sewer main along East Second Street and 7 manholes. This project is a portion of an American Rescue Plan (SRP) award from the State Fiscal Recovery Fund and NC Division of Water Infrastructure financed with approximately $3.1 million.
