KC-46A Alter Facilities for Maintenance

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue a solicitation package seeking to award a firm fixed-price construction contract through the sealed bidding process for the interior renovations within several existing facilities. Ultimately these facilities will provide storage and shop space in support of the KC-46A program. The scopes are as follows: Alter work in Bldg.1817 includes removal of hangar doors, frame rough opening and to install siding & overhead doors. Alter work in B. 2201 includes reconfiguration to provide a fully enclosed painted concrete masonry unit security vault with lighting & vinyl flooring as well as space for hydraulic & wing air refueling pod maintenance functions & non-destructive inspection (NDI) shop functions. Alter work in B.2251 includes reconfiguration to provide a security cage area, a fully enclosed painted concrete masonry unit security vault with concrete roof, a standalone unisex restroom, replacement of all personnel doors & two overhead doors. Alter work in B. 3101 includes reconfiguration to provide office space as well as restrooms. The project includes reconfiguration of interior walls, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and all other necessary supporting work to make complete and useable facilities.
