Description | The Work is located at 280 Webster Road in Independence within the Owner's service area in Kenton County, Kentucky. The project generally consists of, but is not limited to providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, tools, and supervision necessary to remove and dispose of all above grade structures and site debris on the parcel as shown on the Bid Documents. QUESTIONS: Brandy Miller, Purchasing Administrator Office: 859-578-6767 Email: bmiller@sd1.org The objective of this project is to remove and dispose of all above grade structures and site debris on the parcel located at 280 Webster Road in Independence, KY. There are two (2) structures on the property along with miscellaneous debris. The property is owned by SD1, and the bidder is encouraged to visit the site prior to submitting a bid. The first structure (Structure 1) is a concrete foundation wood framed home with a wood deck. The second structure (Structure 2) is a partially demolished metal frame building on a concrete pad. The awarded bidder shall furnish all supervision, technical personnel, labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and services, including utility and transportation services, to perform and complete all Work required for the demolition and removal of all structures and debris. The lump sum bid shall include all costs associated with demolition, permit fees, dumping fees, cost of insurance requirements, waste disposal costs or fees, city license fee, rental costs of equipment, and any other costs incurred while performing the Work. All salvage materials resulting from Work under this contract and located within the specified areas will become the property of the Contractor. All utilities have been disconnected. The contractor will preserve in operating condition all active utilities traversing the areas where demolition and removal work is to be done, protect electric conduit/lines, utility poles and other appurtenances. Foundation walls located below grade do not need to be removed. Common fill material shall be used to backfill below grade structures exposed where material has been removed. Fill material can be onsite material or brought in material. Site should be graded so that the direction of flow is not changed from the original grade and the site drains properly. Approximately 280 cubic yards of fill dirt will be needed (contractor should verify). Burning of any debris or waste is prohibited. The Contractor shall follow all Federal and State regulations and laws if/when removing any hazardous material or waste. Recommendation for Award March 3, 2023 |
