Description | Construction of a new Middle School (Grades 6-8) approximately 152,000 SF. Site conditions such as circulation, fire lanes, parking, and landscape/irrigation should also be examined and included in the work and overall plan. The new middle school will be built on the existing Haggard MS site to replace the current campus. The existing building will remain in use during the construction of this project. Great care will be given to protect and maintain the present site, building, services, infrastructure, security and access. Multiple construction phases may be considered to accomplish the work of this project. Once the new building is complete then the existing can be demolished. NOTE: We anticipate that code will require a storm shelter. The existing track will be removed to make room for the new building, and when relocating the new track it will need to be a 4-lane synthetic track. The existing softball field on the adjacent Plano Senior High campus in our initial mapping may also be in the way of the new building in which case it will need to be demo'd and relocated as well.
