Description | The City of South Jordan is seeking bids from Contractors to chemically treat and control invasive and noxious weed species throughout the Anderson Wetland Area located at 11095 S Anna Circle, South Jordan, Utah. The Anderson Wetland Mitigation Area Weed Control Project consists of herbicide treatment in April, May, and August for two years. The Contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, herbicide, equipment, and any other costs associated with the weed control project. The Contractor will be tasked with controlling noxious and invasive species likely to be encountered in the identified Project Areas (Figure 1 - Herbicide Map) over the two-year course of the project including hoary cress, tall pepperweed, scotch thistle, Canada thistle, poison hemlock, phragmites, puncturevine, and any other observed noxious weeds or weeds that are suggested to control. Chemicals that are approved to be used throughout the project will be Milestone, Telar, 2-4-D, and aquatic approved glyphosate. All chemicals shall be supplied at the manufacturer suggested application rate and will include an aquatic approve surfactant, and blue dye. All necessary PPE shall be worn on the project and pesticide application reports and maps will be required for each visit. The contractor must be a State of Utah licensed professional herbicide applicator. The Contractor must have these minimum qualifications; otherwise, the Bid will be rejected and will not be evaluated. Demonstrated three (3) years of experience in commercial herbicide application, noxious weed control, and specifically treating areas near waterways. Business License - Attach a copy of current business licenses. Commercial Applicator License(s) - Attach a copy of applicable commercial pesticide applicator licenses.
