Description | Cleanup 102 Chestnut - Mowing and Removal of Brush, Trees, and Other Debris. The City of Jefferson, herein referred to as City, invites interested, qualified vendors, hereinafter referred to as contractors or bidders, capable of providing the required services, to submit bids to provide cleanup services at 102 Chestnut Street in Jefferson City, MO. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the City of Jefferson for five (5%) percent of the amount of the bid. Bid securities will be returned after award of the contract except to the successful bidder. liquidated damages. In the event of any violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (b) (1) of this section the contractor and any subcontractor responsible there for shall be liable for the unpaid wages. In addition, such contractor and subcontractor shall be liable to the United States (in the case of work done under contract for the District of Columbia or a territory, to such District or to such territory), for liquidated damages. This is for a one-time contract. The contractor will begin work from the date of the notice to proceed which should be upon approval by City Council and signature of the Mayor. Contractor to complete the scope of work according to the schedule provided unless otherwise approved by the City. Prevailing Wage Law may apply should the project cost exceed $75,000. |
