Description

**As of March 16, 2022 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** This project at Hunter College involves the removal of the existing brick pavers, built-up waterproofing and sloped concrete fill down to the concrete deck at the 8th floor terrace. A new initial and liquid applied membrane will be installed over the deck with extruded polystyrene insulation, drainage mat and concrete pavers above. All base flashings are liquid applied. There's an area where in-wall flashing is to be installed at brick masonry. All existing drains are to be replaced. A new glass barrier is to be constructed around the perimeter of the plaza, along with streel supports secured to the structure below the deck. A new sliding glass gate will also be installed at the terrace. There's a section where either new metal railing will be installed, or the anchorage replaced as part of a Unit Price Item. A smoke vent skylight is to be replaced with a new daylighting one. This project includes asbestos abatement at the perimeter flashings and drains.
