Pinellas Trail and 54th Avenue North Drainage Improvements (Pid # 000183A)

Awards of bids for construction services with an engineering estimate in excess of $100,000 will only be made to Bidders who have pre-qualified with Pinellas County for Road, Street, Storm Sewer type construction, or those that are prequalified by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in an equivalent prequalification, in the amount that equals or exceeds their bid. Only those bids from Bidders that meet the pre-qualification requirements from either Pinellas County or FDOT prior to a bid opening will be considered. Work consists of improving the primary drainage system to alleviate area flooding and improve the drainage outfall to the Gulf of Mexico in the vicinity of the Pinellas Trail and 54th Avenue. Improvements will include the construction of new storm sewer pipe, new inlets and ditch improvements to convey stormwater from the affected area. Appropriate erosion and sediment control measures will be implemented as part of the project. Pedestrians along the Pinellas Trail will be routed away from the construction area during construction.
