Saranac Digital Substation

Major project scope items include engineering, design, procurement, delivery, and installation and commissioning of a new Control House, an IEC 61850 based, integrated Substation Protection, Automation and Control system, and an emergency Diesel Generator. Additionally, the following items are also included in the Contractor’s scope: (1) Digging and construction work at the substation for cable trenching, footings and foundations; (2) Replacement /Installation of four 115KV circuit breakers (new circuit breakers to be provided by the Authority); (3) Replacement of existing Disconnect Switches; (3) Development of new operating, maintenance and test procedures for the new IEC 61850 Digital Substation architecture.

Division 05 -	Metals, Structural Metal Framing.
Division 26 -	Electrical, Instrumentation and Control for Electrical Systems, Substations, Power Distribution Units, Transfer Switches.
Division 31 -	Earthwork, Clearing and Grubbing, Grading.
Division 32 -	Exterior Improvements, Fences and Gates.
