Description

Shortlist Confirmed. The Auburn Station Parking and Access Improvements Project (Project) consists of a new parking garage, pedestrian, bicycle, and transit amenities. The goal of the project is to build up to the environmentally cleared stall count within the project budget. Sound Transit developed a conceptual design that provides up to 675 stall in a 6 level parking structure. This conceptual design has been environmentally studied and is the basis of the project's NEPA approval. The site of the proposed garage (project site) is currently in use as a surface parking lot providing 120 spaces for the One East Main Street Building, a portion of which is the Auburn City Hall. Sound transit is in discussion with the City of Auburn regarding replacement parking and may dedicate up to 120 spaces in the parking structure for City use. Sound Transit may request that the replacement parking costs be isolated at the time of proposal and tracked throughout the project delivery. The requirements for the 120 spaces will be further clarified with the issuance of the RFP. The project includes improvements within the adjacent City right-of-way including sidewalk hardscape and landscaping, new curb ramps, traffic calming improvements, water line replacement and hydrant lateral extensions, stormwater and conveyance extensions, sewer line laterals, street lighting, roadway paving and pavement markings, signage and other associated traffic improvements. Question Deadline 09/23/2022 05:00:00 PM PT *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
