Description

1. Installation of all concrete sidewalks. a. Includes all curb ramps. b. Includes sidewalk shown under paver areas on L201. c. Includes installation of compacted aggregate base under all sidewalks. 2. Installation of all concrete curbs. a. Includes all concrete curbs & gutters, stand-up curbs, integral curbs, and depressed curbs. b. Includes installation of compacted aggregate base under all curbs. 3. Installation of all Portland Cement Concrete Pavement (PCCP). a. Includes Compacted Aggregate Base under PCCP per the following: i. North Side (see Site Concrete Reference Drawing): compacted 53 stone will be installed to bottom of concrete elevation (+/- 1”) by earthwork contractor. This contract includes fine grading and re-compaction of subgrade. ii. South Side (see Site Concrete Reference Drawing): This contract includes full 8” compacted 53 stone layer under any PCCP section. iii. Service Drive: compacted 53 stone is installed to top of PCCP elevation. This contract includes removal of 53 stone to bottom of concrete and re-compaction of existing stone layer as needed. b. Installation of PCCP in green shaded area around the ADC & Sheriff’s buildings are by others. (see Site Concrete Reference Drawing) 4. Installation of all bollards. a. Type ‘SH’ and ‘SJ’ light bollards shown on Lighting Plans are by others. 5. Installation of bus shelters per note 10 on the site layout plans. 6. Includes demolition of existing curbs and asphalt to accommodate new curbs, sidewalk, and roadway layout per the following: GEN 05/20 NTB-2 a. Demolition Note 3 is included in this scope of work. b. Demolition Note 4 is includes in this scope of work. c. Demolition Notes 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8 are by others. d. This contract includes demolition of top layer of service drive stone. Reference scope item 3.a.iii. 7. Any stone or asphalt demolished by this contract is to be removed from the jobsite by this contract. 8. Install sleeving under concrete roads and sidewalks for future irrigation lines per sheet I100. 9. Excavate all areas needed to complete this scope of work. Dump fees associated with removing any impacted soils will be charged against the Impacted Material Allowance. 10. Contractor must be aware that multiple contractors are working onsite; it will therefore be necessary for Contractor to coordinate with others as well as the Owner’s team including a biweekly logistics meeting and other meetings as needed. 11. Contractor must comply with the Soils Management Plan and the Remediation Work Plan prepared by August Mack dated July 2017. 12. This scope includes all manpower, equipment, materials, safety requirements, environmental submittals, permits, product submittals, etc., need to complete this scope of work. 13. All work is to be installed per DLZ’s Site Finishing for City of Indianapolis / Marion County Community Justice Campus Construction Drawings and Specifications. 14. Owner Allowances and Contingency a. Contractor to carry an Impacted Material Allowance of $50,000. b. Contractor to carry an Existing Concrete Repair Allowance of $100,000. c. Contractor to carry an Owner’s Contingency Allowance of $150,000. d. Any Contract allowance and/or any contingency dollars will be spent at the Owner’s discretion. Funds will be drawn from allowances and contingency only by Change Order or executed PCO. At closeout of Contract, funds remaining in Owner’s Contingency Allowance or other Allowances will be credited to Owner by Change Order. 15. Owner will contract separately for the following scopes of work to be completed during the listed time frames: a. Earthwork, storm, sanitary and waterline install: 9/1/2020 – 3/1/2021 b. Electrical and Low-voltage: 12/1/2020 – 9/10/2021 c. Asphalt: 4/1/2021 – 9/10/2021 d. Site Fencing: 6/1/2021 – 9/10/2021 e. Site Signage: 6/1/2021 – 9/10/2021 f. Landscaping: 5/1/2021 – 11/1/2021 16. Site Concrete Schedule Dates: a. All work in this scope is to be completed between 5/1/2021 and 9/10/2021. b. Contractor to assume at least four separate mobilizations to complete this scope of work. c. Substantial Completion for this Scope of Work is no later than 9/10/2021.
