Description | The State University Construction Fund is seeking Statements of Qualifications from consultants to provide design and construction services. Evenden Hall was constructed in 1978, comprises approximately 79,307 GSF, and is seven (7) stories tall. This project is for the renovation of laboratories and restroom spaces in Evenden hall to provide code compliant and accessible spaces per ADA regulations. In addition, new ADA compliant restrooms will be constructed, and all areas of renovation will be sprinklered. The Welding Lab building was constructed in 1989. The current ramp does not meet current code or ADA regulations. Work includes new concrete ramp with railings, new walkway to the ramp and possible upgrades to entrance door. Consultants should emphasize their knowledge and experience in coordination and managing design projects for academic and classroom lab buildings where substantial work was required to upgrade restrooms, lab casework, and exterior ramps per current accessibility code. The base construction value for this project is estimated at approximately $10,000,000. Once registered, consultants will receive the applicable Request for Qualifications (RFQ). SOQs must be submitted in the format prescribed by the Fund. Required electronic copies of Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) must be received by the due date and time specified in the RFQ. In accordance with State Finance Law Section 139-j, all inquiries regarding this procurement must be made to Samantha Lord; Samantha.Lord@suny.edu; Jeremy Clausi; Jeremy.Clausi@suny.edu; Doreen Bottieri; Doreen.Bottieri@suny.edu or Scott Clay (MWBE issues only); Scott.Clay@suny.edu. Contacts made to other staff regarding this procurement may disqualify the firm and affect future procurements with government entities in the State of New York.
