Description | The Champaign Community Unit School District No. 4, Champaign County, Illinois (hereinafter referred to as "DISTRICT") is soliciting the submission of sealed bids for Elevator Maintenance and Inspection in nine schools for the period of July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023. There is also an option for 2023-2024, and also 2024-2025, each based upon satisfactory performance. Fiscal year for the Champaign School District is July 1 through and including June 30. This particular contract shall become effective August 2022 through June 30, 2023, with options for two (2) additional years' service beyond the original contract period with said options being for the period July 1 through June 30. It is assumed the number of calendar days for the second and third years will contain the same number of days as are scheduled for the initial contract year. All bids must contain an option price for two (2) additional years' service beyond the original contract period. Said options shall be exercised by the Board of Education based on satisfactory performance of each previous year's contract. Since the contract carries options for two additional years' service, this should permit you to state a lower price for the additional option years on the supposition that you may incur equipment expenses for performance during the initial year which would not be required for the two-option periods. DISTRICT reserves the right to waive any irregularities in any proposal, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid which, in the judgment of DISTRICT, is deemed the most advantageous for DISTRICT. Any bid which is incomplete, conditional, obscure, or which contains irregularities of any kind may be cause for rejection of the proposal. |
