Description | The general nature of work, described in detail in this Contract and in the basis of payment, includes furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the construction of the project. Primary items of work include: Asphalt repair of ~30 utility cuts totaling 4000 SF, an additional 7,000 SF of new asphalt paving, installation and repair of ~700 LF of asphalt berms, demolition, utility adjustments, and other associated miscellaneous items. All questions or requests for clarification shall be directed in writing to the Daniel Wentz, Project Manager, via email: dwentz@lincolncity.org, or by regular mail to Lincoln City, PO Box 50, Lincoln City, Oregon 97367. All written questions must be received by the Project Manager by 5 PM PST on September 18th, 2023, 10 calendar days prior to the Bid Due date. The Project Engineer will determine appropriate responses, if any, and if necessary an Addendum will be issued to all plan holders of record at least 5 calendar days prior to the Bid Due date. Each bid proposal must be submitted on the forms prescribed by the City and accompanied by a Proposal Guaranty (certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond) in an amount equal to ten (10) percent of the total amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond equal to one hundred percent of the amount bid for faithful performance of the Contract. There will not be a pre-bid meeting or site visit conducted by the City. The Contractor must comply with the provisions required by (PREVAILING WAGE RATE). City may cancel this procurement or reject any bid that does not comply with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, including the requirement to demonstrate the bidder's responsibility under and that City may reject for good cause all bids after finding that doing so is in the public interest. |
