Homekey Round 3

The City of Alameda (City) invites developers, property managers, and service providers to respond to a Homekey Round 3 request for proposal (RFP). Homekey is a grant program administered by the California Department of Housing and Community Development that funds local public entities to purchase, rehabilitate, and/or construct, new construction, projects currently under construction, or projects recently completed and convert them into interim or permanent, long-term housing within eight to 12 months of receiving funding. Qualifying properties include existing housing, hotels, motels, and vacant apartment buildings. If and when the State releases a Notice of Funding Availability, organization(s) selected through the City's RFP process will be invited to submit, as a joint applicant with the City, a Homekey application for the project proposed. The City was an award recipient of a Homekey Round 2 grant and is in the process of constructing 47 transitional, interim units.
