Description | It is the intention of NJIT to prequalify contractors for Audio Visual Contractor Services. Information for the above contract will be received in the Office of the Executive Director of Procurement Services, via upload in the Unimarket eProcurement system on the RFQ Due Date as indicated above. Contractors are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27". No Contractor may withdraw his/her qualification, within (60) days after the actual date of opening thereof. Questions concerning this statement and specifications should be directed to the Office of Procurement Services at bidsrfps@njit.edu. NJIT reserves the right to reject any or all qualifications, or waive informality or to accept a qualification that in its judgment will be in the best interest of NJIT. New Jersey Institute of Technology ("NJIT or the "University") seeks qualifications from qualified and experienced contractors ("Respondent" or "Firm" or "Contractor") for audio/video, to provide services to the University. This is a qualifications-based process where the University first intends to obtain responses to this RFQ, and then establish a listing of "Prequalified Contractors". Firms who are prequalified by the University may be issued a project specific construction Bid or Proposal Package for NJIT's campus construction projects over the next 3 years. Contractors that are determined to be 'prequalified' by the University will receive Invitation to Bid letters from the Construction Manager selected by the University. Contractors will receive subcontractor bid packages from the Construction Manager, and interested contractors will submit bids for this project to the University's Office of Procurement Services. All contractor bids will be read aloud, and the lowest responsive bidder will be expected to enter into a construction subcontract with the Construction Manager and complete the Work consistent with the requirements of the contract documents. For other campus construction projects not using a Construction Manager, The University will solicit proposals for other specific projects from the listing of "Prequalified Contractors" and contract directly, using a single prime construction contract, or individual trade contracts where appropriate. The University reserves the right to waive any informality in the RFQ process, and to reject or accept any RFQ responses. The University assumes no responsibility for the completeness or the accuracy of any information presented in this RFQ, or otherwise distributed or made available during this procurement process, except as expressly stated to the contrary. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the University will not be bound by or be responsible for any explanation or interpretation of the proposed documents other than those prepared in writing. In no event may a Respondent to the RFQ rely on any oral statement made by the University or any of the University's agents, employees, advisors or consultants. The University's obligation is contingent upon the availability of funds. The University considers any information which it may have released either orally or in writing prior to the issuance of this RFQ, to be preliminary in nature and the University shall not be bound by such information To facilitate the exchange of information, questions regarding the RFQ shall be communicated through Unimarket. All such questions must reference the RFQ section. If a change or further explanation is deemed necessary, the university will notify all potential proposers by addendum to the RFQ. Proposers will acknowledge receipt of any addenda on the RFQ. Questions relating to this RFQ must be submitted through Unimarket only, no later than 30 march 2023 |
