| Description | License Type Required: Hazardous Materials Transportation License The City of Poway is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide as needed hazardous waste disposal services, including identification, labeling, collection, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. The as-needed hazardous waste disposal services will be primarily for hazardous waste that has been abandoned in the public right-of-way or on City-owned property. This includes accidental spills or discharges in the public-right-of way or on City-owned property which requires the Contractor's 24-hour emergency response and disaster recovery for chemical, biological or other hazardous emergencies. Services may include cleanup and disposal of materials recovered/removed from the emergency response. Hazardous wastes typically found abandoned in the public right-of-way include: paint, aerosol paint, used motor oil, gasoline, car and commercial truck batteries, pool chemicals, etc. |
